CAMPO DE BORJA
The Zaragozan region of Campo de Borja is known as “The Empire of Garnacha”. It boasts 4,000 hectares of this reigning grape variety, which coexists with other native ones.
This land, located at the foot of the majestic Moncayo, creates a unique landscape where winemaking tradition intertwines with the natural beauty of the mountains, making the towns along the way well worth a visit.
Magallón, a town that preserves numerous traces of its Muslim and Jewish past visible in its urban center, is also home to several wineries, such as Bodega Ruberte, which has facilities for cava and wine production, as well as an underground cellar.
Continuing to Borja, visitors can explore its quiet streets adorned with mansions, convents, Renaissance palaces, and churches, including the Collegiate Church of Santa María and the famous Ecce Homo in the Sanctuary of Mercy (Santuario de la Misericordia).
The Regulatory Council of the Campo de Borja Designation of Origin has 15 certified wineries, some of which are internationally renowned and recognized in the world’s most prestigious wine competitions.

Just 4 km from Borja is Ainzón, home to the Campo de Borja Wine Museum and the Baroque-style Church of Our Lady of Mercy.
Visitors can also explore the Palace Museum of the Counts of Bureta, an 18th-century building that has been restored.
In Fuendejalón, admire the Gothic-style Church of San Juan Bautista and the Baroque-style Hermitage of Our Lady of the Castle.
In Tabuenca, Bodega Palmeri Sicilia offers insight into ancient winemaking traditions.
In Bulbuente, wineries such as Bodega Román and Prados Bodegas Pagos del Moncayo are located near the Moncayo Natural Park, which is also home to the Veruela Monastery, where a Wine Museum can be visited.
Tarazona, with its majestic Cathedral and bullring, is another must-see destination.
